Transatlantyk Winner!

In August 2015 one of the most satisfying "coincidences" occurred: our two grand winners for this year's Oticons Faculty competition, Andrea Grant (1st Prize) and Bartosch McCarthy (2nd Prize), have also been awarded the respective first and second grand awards of the Film Music Competition organized at the Transatlantyk Film+Music Festival! For Bartosch McCarthy it was only two months after experiencing his own Oticons Faculty Award, the attendance of Krakow FMF, and for Andrea Grant only two months before attending the World Soundtrack Awards, that both of them amazed one more jury (John Debney in the picture was on it) and grabbed two more awards! Furthermore, Levente Kovacs, a Top10 Finalist of the Oticons Faculty, was also a Top10 Finalist of the Transatlantyk contest. It is evident that our Competition and its Jury and its focus on artistic qualities in film music, is doing every year the right job; selects and awards the best talents in the world participating in our competition.

SCologne 2015

Another ally of the Oticons Faculty, Soundtrack_Cologne film music festival, has concluded successfully. One of the Oticons Faculty founders, George Christopoulos (in the picture with American publicist Chandler Poling) and several members of the jury attended the festival. Among them, Bruno Coulais, Jean-Michel Bernard, Jeff Rona and Andy Hill! Our 2015 #2 grand winner, Bartosch McCarthy, was also present and attended all major masterclassesand workshops.

FMF2015

It was an amazing Krakow Film Music Festival once again!!! Bartosch McCarthy, our 2nd Grand Prize Winner (in the picture with composer of "Games of Thrones", Ramin Djawadi), enjoyed all masterclasses, concerts and events and some great personal introductions, hence quality interaction, with all the major guests like Elliot Goldenthal, Stephen Warbeck and many others! Except Stephen Warbeck there were more of jurors present in Krakow, like Tuomas Kantelinen, Andy Hill, Michael Todd and Simon Greenaway, who all had the chance to give him first hand congrats, a great deal of advice and... some work to do soon, too...
